The BillyChip charity has launched a new and exciting initiative in their relentless drive to improve the lives of the homeless in the UK.
The organisation’s imaginative approach to supporting rough-sleepers through donating ‘chips’ (tokens) which can be exchanged for food and drink at a range of outlets is now taking on a new dimension.
Building on their established success, with over 50,000 chips redeemed since the charity’s foundation, the new initiative, ‘The Bank of BillyChip’, gives businesses an easy way to do their bit to help alleviate the plight of the homeless.
The idea is impressive in its simplicity: businesses can sign up to make a one-off or regular donation to BillyChip CIC which, in turn, will provide the relevant number of tokens to a wide range of charities working directly with the homeless.
Glynns is delighted to be a part of this initiative, both through direct financial support as well as through the involvement of Julie Glynn, founder of Glynns Solicitors.
As Julie herself has commented, “We are delighted to be supporting this new initiative by the BillyChip, our local charity. Getting the BillyChips directly onto the streets through the outreach volunteers is a vital breakthrough for the homeless.”
